Your clients may qualify for the Ohio Tax Amnesty if they have unreported tax obligations that were due and payable as of May 1, 2017. If your client has been contacted by the Ohio Department of Taxation, they will not qualify.

In addition to providing a money-saving second chance for delinquent taxpayers to fulfill their obligation, Ohio and other states have found amnesty programs an effective and cost-efficient way to collect overdue and unreported tax liabilities. During previous amnesty programs, thousands of Ohio taxpayers and businesses participated, which generated millions of dollars in tax revenue for state and local government services.
